Interview With Ms.Chris Renee
1.) Could you let the fans know how your journey as a signed author begun?
I
actually self published my first book, Karma On Ice. I’m such a headstrong person that I didn’t
even look for a publisher. I just wrote
it and self published it.
2.) What was the first book you completed under Life Changing
Books and what is it about?
Wealthy and Wicked is the first book I have
under LCB. The story is about a woman
who is so caught up in herself that she doesn’t care who she steps on to get
ahead. When someone in her life has
enough of her bull, they begin to try and move heaven and earth to make her
pay.
3.) At what age did you begin writing?
I’m sure its probably been since I could
pick up a pen but the first essay that I remember writing was in 3rd
grade and my teacher loved it so much she put it in the hallway so everyone
could read it.
When I got the message to call the CEO
Azarel I was very excited and very nervous.
She is such an amazing person and spirit she instantly put me at
ease. Soon as I hung up the phone with
her, I remember screaming and crying to the top of my lungs.
That it is more than just writing a good
book. You have to really grind and
hustle in this business. There are so
many books and authors out there and you have to put in serious dedication to
be successful.
6.) What are the most important elements of good writing?
According to you, what tools are must-haves for writers?
You must have quite time and devotion. Shut off all social networks, get a glass of
wine or two and light a candle. Just let the words flow
7.) What are your current/future projects?
As crazy as
it sounds, I’m writing 3 books at one time.
My mind is all over the place with ideas and no matter how hard I try, I
can’t stop writing. It’s such an
addiction.
Mildred D. Taylor’s Roll of Thunder Hear My
Cry, was the book that I read that made me say I wanted to write. Mama by Terry McMillian is also one of my
favs. I’ve read that book about 10
times. Each time, I love it more. Those two authors are so descriptive and the
emotion that they put behind their words is just amazing.
9.)
Did you learn anything
from writing your book and what was it?
I learned that just because I think something
is good doesn’t mean the rest of the world will love it. Sometimes I would submit in chapters that I
thought were awesome but the test readers would be like, ummmmm NO! LOL I just
thank God that LCB has been so patient and helpful in developing me as a better
writer.

After years of working in the field of medical insurance she had considered
that dream as a distant memory. It wasn't until she was introduced into the
world of blogging did she re-ignite her passion for writing. After building a
huge fan base on several blogs she decided to transform one of the popular
blogs into a book.
She
still resides in the St. Louis area with her family and currently working on
her second fictional novel as well as a motivational book for teenage mothers.
